Referencing

Referencing a paper seems to make it more solid. Simply by putting superscripted numbers after sentences that correspond to numbers in a notes page, followed by various names, titles and more numbers makes a paper feel more full. The little numbers validate the words and the validation is palpable. A conclusion can be drawn that if a person is engaged in conversation for the sole purpose of validating their current or past thoughts, actions or words; simply hand them a small number and walk away.
